1. What happens when I refer someone?
If the person you refer registers a domain via the Affiliate link on your website:

1. He is brought to the Domain Registration page on our site. His browser is tagged with a cookie, so if he comes back within the next thirty (30) days and buys a domain -- any domain - you will receive $5 for EVERY domain registered.
2. Once the registration form is filled out and submitted, it will be recorded and tagged with a transaction number.
3. When the domain is paid for, the commission will be credited to your account.

If you are referring via email:

1. An e-mail message is sent to the prospective registrant. The message contains the domains you think they might be interested in, the benefits of owning a PH domain, a hyperlink to the dotPH website with your referrer code and a personal message from you.
2. If the recipient clicks on the link, his browser is tagged with a cookie, so that if he comes back within the next thirty (30) days and buys a domain - any domain - you will receive $5 for EVERY domain registered.
3. When a domain is registered by clicking on your hyperlink, it will be recorded and tagged with a transaction number.
4. Once the domain is paid for, the commission is automatically credited to your account.

2. Do I still earn a commission if the person I refer buys a domain other than the domain/s I've recommended?
Yes.

3. So once I refer someone, any domain he purchases will be credited to my account? No matter how many domains he purchases? Even if he registers a domain 6 months from now?

When the person you refer clicks on your email link or banner, his browser is tagged with a cookie which expires in thirty (30) days.

No matter how many domains he registers, the sale will be credited to your account if:

1. The registrant enters our site by clicking on your e-mail link or banner and then registers a domain.

OR

2. Within thirty (30) days after clicking on your e-mail link or banner, the person you referred enters the dotPH site directly and registers a domain. Note that for this to happen, he must enter our site using the browser that was tagged with the cookie. If he registers from another browser or computer (one that has not been tagged with the cookie), the sale will NOT be credited to your account.

Of course, we must receive payment for the domains before commissions can be credited to your account.

4. Do I earn commissions when the domains are renewed?
No. Commissions are given for new registrations only.

5. What if I refer someone via e-mail, he reads the email that you send, and then decides to make a purchase after 30 days? Do I still get a commission?
Yes. There is no time limit as long as the registrant enters our site and registers a domain by clicking on the link in your e-mail which contains your referrer code.

What expires after 30 days is the cookie tagged to their browser when they click on the link. If the registrant goes directly to our site and gets a domain after the cookie has expired (ie, after 30 days) we will have no way of knowing who referred them and so you will not get credit for the sale.

6. If I am referring via e-mail, can I add a customized message for the person I am referring?
Yes. When filling out the referral form, there is a field where you can add a personalized message.

7. I want to configure my website so that I can automatically refer people to your site. Is this possible? If so, how much can I earn?
Yes. Simply place a dotPH Affiliate Banner on your website. Login here then click "Change Banner" to see available designs. When anyone registers a domain by clicking on the banner, you earn $5.00.

8. I'd like to put a dotPH Affiliate banner on my site, but I don't like the designs you have available. Can I use my own?
Yes. You can use your own banner PROVIDED your referrer code is contained in the hyperlink which points to the dotPH website.

Completed domain applications are given a "transaction number" which tracks referrals and is the basis for paying out commissions. The transaction number is issued whenever someone uses your referrer code to register a domain. If you merely link directly to our page without the referrer code, the transaction will not be credited to your account.
