1. How much does it cost to register a PH domain?
Domain names are initially registered for 2 years at a cost of US$ 70.00.

2. How much does it cost to renew my PH Domain Name Registration?
Domain names are renewed for two years for a fee of US$ 70.00.

3. How much is Web Forwarding?
Web Forwarding is absolutely free

4. How much is Mail Forwarding?
Mail Forwarding costs US$20 per year.

5. How do I pay for my domain name?
DotPH accepts payments by credit card, check, cash or wire transfer.

Follow the step-by-step process of registering domains via our site. You will be prompted for credit card information on our secure page and follow instructions. Credit card remittances will be processed within one business day.

We accept payment in Philippine Pesos and US Dollars. If paying in Philippine pesos, please check the exchange rate on the day that payment is remitted to ensure that it conforms to the prevailing rate. The exchange rate is adjusted on Friday evenings and is posted at our website http://www.dot.ph

A US$50 clearing fee is assessed by our bank for ALL US Dollar checks, whether drawn on a local or foreign bank. Kindly include that amount when paying with US Dollar-denominated cheques.

For your protection, we will only honor check payment sent via courier (e.g. JRS Express), not via post or regular mail. Do not send money orders, cash or instruments other than checks.

To pay in Cash
Cash payments must be hand-delivered to our office at the address below. Please do not send cash payments via mail or courier.

To pay via wire transfer
For details on how to pay via wire transfer, please e-mail helpdesk@dot.ph or contact our Customer Support at (632)6372104 to 05 between Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 6:00pm Manila Standard Time (GMT +8).

6. What are the procedures for paying via credit card?
When registering or renewing a domain online, you will be asked to select a payment option as the final step. Choose 'Pay by Credit Card' and enter the required information on the secure page. Click here to see a demo of the registration process.

7. Can I pay via wire transfer?
Yes, for Wire Transfer payment please call our Helpdesk at (632) 637-2104 to 05 during our business hours from 8:30am to 6:00pm, Manila Standard Time (GMT+8).

8. What are your office hours for receiving cash or check payments?
Mondays to Fridays, 8:30am to 5:30pm, Manila Standard Time (GMT+8).

9. Do you pick-up payments?
Yes. We offer free check pick-up within selected areas in Metro Manila. To schedule your check payment for pick-up, complete the details via this link: http://www.dot.ph/FreeCheckPickup.asp

10. What is your Peso to US Dollar exchange rate?
Our exchange rate is based on the prevailing bank rates and is updated on Friday evenings. Please check our website www.dot.ph for the current forex rate.

11. Do I have to pay a fee to modify my domain?
Name server modifications are free for all regular domains (i.e. those which were registered since October 1, 1999).

For domains registered prior to Oct 1, 1999 (lifetime domains) there is a required fee per modification. The fee must be paid for the modification to take effect. Please refer to Question#12.

12. I own a lifetime domain. Do I have to pay for anything else?
Lifetime Domains (purchased before Oct 1, 1999) are not subject to renewal charges. However, there is a fee per modification. Payment must be made before modifications can take effect. You can choose one of the following options:

  • Convert your lifetime domain to regular status
    A fee of US$70 for the first 2 years of Domain Name Service will be assessed for lifetime domains. Once domain is converted from lifetime status to regular status, subsequent Registrant modifications will be free.
  • Maintain lifetime status, provided that:

    A fee of PhP1350.00 per modification.

In addition, lifetime domains are not eligible to avail of value-added features such as Web and Mail Forwarding, online domain modifications and m-commerce capabilities.

13. I want to reserve my domain name. How long will my reservation be valid?
Please note that we do not reserve domain names. Our policy is "first paid, first served". We urge you to remit payment the soonest to avoid the possibility that a later registrant will make an earlier payment.

14. I have already remitted payment. How long before my domain is activated?
Processing (including propagation of the domain) is generally completed within 24 hours of receipt of payment. Once payment is received, an automated e-mail response is sent to your address acknowledging the Registrant of the domain.

15. I am paying online/sending a check. How do I get an official receipt?
A notice that we have received your payment is sent to your e-mail account. We will snail mail you an Official Receipt if you indicate the postal address to which it must be sent.

16. How do I get a copy of the Sales Invoice?
The Notification of Approval e-mail serves as your sales invoice.

17. Are there any additional or hidden costs in registering my domain?
No. The registration fee covers everything needed to register your domain name. Certain optional features, such as Mail Forwarding, are available for a fee. Please consult our site www.dot.ph for details
