Internship: Software Development

We are a fluid company, so you'll see everything that happens within the web industry: from product architecture and user interface design to coding, testing and documentation, and marketing, sales and customer support. You will receive mentoring from dotPh team leaders and learn about web development, technology operations and running an online business.

As a dotPh intern, you will be given a real project to work on that will ship as part of one of our products. dotPh internship requirements include:

• Currently enrolled in an academic institution
• College/University Transcript
• College/University class schedule, current and upcoming semester/s

Internships are full-time in the summer and part-time during the University year. A fully evaluated OJT program typically lasts 10-24 weeks.

We are looking for individuals who are interested in

• Open Source Technologies
• LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP/Perl/Python) Software Development

What to expect:

As a dotPh intern, you will be given a real project to work on that will shape into as part of one of our products.

Requirements:

• Outstanding coding skills
• Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills
• Excellent grades and a track record of success

Experience with any of the following is also helpful:

• Programming experience in a Unix environment
• Test-driven development
• MVC Frameworks
• User interface design
• Web Services
• MySQL
• Expertise in relational databases and SQL
• Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and CSS
• Subversion!
